Meet Our Team

Alice Benton – Director

Alice Benton has 20 years’ NHS commissioning experience and detailed knowledge of health contracting, commissioning, policy and strategy. Her work in an East of England CCG focused on supporting GP transformation, preparing primary care for new ways of working and broader system integration. 

She led the London-wide NHSE dental, optometry and pharmacy team, including urgent care with an annual budget of almost £1bn. She led general practice commissioning in both South West and East London. Alice has gathered detailed commissioning, service redesign, and change management skills and is passionate about assuring the resilience of primary care.

Rachel Edwards – Director

Rachel Edwards has 25 years’ NHS and public sector experience with significant knowledge of change and transformation projects. Her work for NHS primary and secondary care clients has resulted in real change and performance improvement in their service delivery. 

She has led projects that include mobilising integrated services, strategic and workforce development and place-based collaboration and is passionate about helping clients address digital exclusion and health inequalities. Rachel’s understanding of local government and the way it works combined with her experience of developing population-based services are valuable in the development of integrated health services.

Mike Gill – Director

Mike Gill has 30 years’ NHS and public sector experience with knowledge of service transformations, project management and delivering change. His work within the NHS includes projects in primary and secondary care, working with GPs, GP Federations and NHS commissioners on resilience and efficiency projects. 

He has led projects that have delivered organisational and service growth, greater efficiency and improvement in management and leadership. Mike’s long experience of delivering complex and challenging change programmes and his passion for effective public services led him to write a book on that very subject.

Ken MacNeill – Director

Ken MacNeill has 35 years’ NHS and public sector experience and is an accountant. His work includes governance, efficiency and financial management projects and has experience of developing at scale services, including financial and technical aspects of collaboration and mergers.  

He has worked across sectors including in social care and widely in local government so brings an understanding of how different parts of the public sector work. Ken is practical and good at working with people to get things done and brings the experiences of balancing the differing needs of businesses operating in the public sector

Anna Byrne

Anna Byrne is programme and project expert and has experience in both public and private sector organisations. Her experience includes working as a Principal Consultant at PA Consulting and Programmes Operations Director at the SW Academic Health and Science Network.

As a Civil Servant, she established a new HM Treasury agency delivering internal audit services to the rest of government, working to the interim Chief Executive. In that role, Anna worked with stakeholders in HM Treasury, and was responsible for risk management, planning and governance in securing corporate services for the new agency.  

Shaama Saggar-Malik

Shaama Saggar-Malik is a multi-specialist development consultant and is a qualified coach and coach supervisor. She works with Boards, senior executives and management teams from an extensive range of public, private and third sector organisations.

She is a Faculty Associate on the NHS Leadership Academy and was also on the Education Master Faculty of the London Nightingale Hospital. Shaama is an approved coach for the Senior Civil Service and an Associate Coach with Henley and has holds non-executive director and public appointment roles including as a NCAS lay assessor and NED on a Housing Association.

Phil Trickey

Phil Trickey has more than 30 years’ NHS and public sector experience as a programme director, team leader and executive director. He has extensive experience across healthcare including programme and project management, change, information technology, commissioning and strategic planning. 

Phil recently supported an ICS develop plans to digitise pre-operative assessment across four acute Trusts. He is experienced in developing business plans and strategy and aligning and prioritising programmes and projects of work strategy delivery through a portfolio approach to transformation. 

Rohney Malik

Rohney Malik has over 25 years’ experience in successfully leading complex transformation and service innovation projects and leading teams to deliver improved engagement and outcomes for both internal and external stakeholders. She is a Trustee and a Board safeguarding lead for a youth charity, focused on inclusive participation in sports. 

She has an extensive track record in Children and Young Peoples services, successfully developing and implementing service and business process improvement and innovations, diversifying stakeholder engagement, optimising commercial opportunities and innovating collaborative working based on co-production principles and values.

Yvonne has considerable experience of turning around failing practices including CQC turnaround and has worked with Training and Development Hubs to develop the training and development opportunities for Practice Managers.

Dr Mitesh Ladwa

Dr Mitesh Ladwa is a project manager and bid writer specialising in mobilising clinical services and supporting transition and transformation projects including Pathology Joint Ventures, Mental Health Transformation, Infrastructure Projects, Integrated Urgent Treatment Centres.

As a bid writer, Mitesh has supported many public and private sector organisations win new contracts and commercial opportunities including Integrated Sexual Health, Special Allocation Service, Prison Services and Health Visiting and School Nursing Services.
