How Our Accelerators Work

We have developed two project Accelerators that help you get your projects up and running quickly and turbocharge delivery. The At Scale Accelerator and PCN Accelerator both provide sophisticated project management capacity and minimise your need for expensive project management resources. Both Accelerators include:

  • Prepopulated actions targeted on completing a practice merger, service integration, collaboration or establishing your PCN
  • A predefined project plan with suggested timelines that can be customised to meet the needs of your project
  • A comprehensive risk assurance and governance framework and RAG reporting to provide accountability and transparency
  • A secure document repository for logging supporting evidence of task achievement, reports and other documents
  • Real-time online project reporting
  • A highly graphical view of the project action interdependencies 

Both Accelerators are pre-populated with tasks that are specific to the respective type of project. This means you don’t have to spend valuable resource identifying the detail of what you have to deliver. It’s been done for you. Your resources can be spent delivering each task (we call them Enablers) that in turn will complete Results and deliver Objectives. Simple RAG rating always keeps you abreast of progress.

Accelerator Platform

Our Accelerators are built using the Qorex platform (https://qorex.co.uk/), a software application designed to help deliver business strategies by optimising the delivery of transformation portfolios, programmes and projects. 

At Scale and Qorex have worked closely together to develop Accelerators that are designed to help our health clients enable change programmes to get up and running quickly, supporting project managers through standard templates, risk management, benefits management and automated reporting.

Project Action Pre-Population

Our Accelerators are pre-populated with all the objectives, results and actions required of the particular project, whether that is a practice merger, service integration, collaboration or implementation of a primary care network (PCN). 

Our Accelerators are more than just project management tools. Yes, they allow you to produce project plans, risk logs and a variety of reporting. Yes, they have a document repository and suite of standard documents that enable you to save all your material in one place and share the experiences of others.

Reporting
Reporting on your project is very easy. We have built-in snapshot reports, full and detailed project reports, reports by actions, results, % completed, Gantt charts, RAG-rated views of project progress and reports that list activity by individual team member. All at the push of one button, all available online 24/7 or by email, and all using the latest project information. 

No more uncertainty about having sight of your very latest project status. It is all there for you to access via your browser. 

Enablers can be reported on by team member, priority, those nearing a completion date and those not yet started, and by those with attached notes or documents. You can tailor your reporting function to best meet the needs of your project.

Project Action Completion

The key benefit of using one of At Scale’s Accelerators is that we have already done most of the thinking for you. We have identified the actions and interdependencies needed to complete your project. Here is a high-level schematic that shows the level of detail built into our Accelerators. 

This diagram shows a generic “wheel” but click for At Scale Accelerator (for practice mergers, service integration and collaborations) or PCN Accelerator (for establishing PCNs) for the specific detail of those projects. Here is how a typical project RAG-rating wheel will look. Our Accelerators allow you to drill down to any level at any time, at the click of a mouse button.

The Accelerator allows you to allocate tasks and actions (we call these ENABLERS) to individuals or groups of people, set the date, tolerance and parameters for completion and all the inter-related links for that Enabler. That helps you identify how completing an Enabler in one part of the project can influence or impact achievement in another. Our Accelerators support you to complete the action and identify the implications of any delay. You are in complete control of setting the timescales, allocating Enablers to your team and setting the level of material you need to evidence completion. Each Enabler is allocated a priority and is linked to other Enablers to allow you to create and customise your own interdependencies. This pre-population means you don’t have to waste valuable resources mapping out what is to be done, in what sequence and by when. We’ve done that thinking for you.

You can add to the list, so your project reflects your needs. Plus, you can edit the timelines, so they fit in with what you want to achieve — all available online via your browser. At Scale Accelerator

The At Scale Accelerator (ASA) is a proven, pre-populated project management tool, specially developed to support the delivery of primary care practice mergers, service collaborations and integrated services.

The ASA contains all the actions required to accelerate the development, mobilisation and operation of your project. It is pre-populated with all the steps and timescales you have to complete to merge or collaborate including:

  • Description, explanation and sequence of all project actions
  • Indication of typical evidence to assurance action completion
  • Out of the box project workstreams, milestones and reporting
  • A document repository allowing you to keep your project data and evidence accessible
  • Easy to understand project presentation, sorted into four organisational areas.

The RAG view is particularly useful and allows your project board and project team to quickly identify any bottlenecks or overrunning actions. The ASA’s flexibility means that progress can be viewed and monitored in a variety of ways.

The ASA has several levels of increasing detail that can be customised to your project, assuring you are addressing all necessary tasks. The ASA has been tried and tested to support practice mergers and collaborations, including helping the biggest single patient list practice in the UK successfully accelerate their go-live date, Octagon Medical Practice.

The ASA is available online, 24/7, via your browser. You can add users simply by adding licences.
